The Doji Trade-In system has different methods to more clearly determine the condition of each device, and thus produce a fairer exchange for all parties.
A simple and direct questionnaire consisting of 10 questions allows you to evaluate different aspects of the device that must be easily identified by the Operator or its owner.
After the questionnaire, we use verification software on the device being exchanged to identify functional defects, which cannot be identified with a visual inspection.
After the Operator photographs the device and uploads the photos to the Doji Trade-In system, our system uses a model created with Artificial Intelligence to analyze these photos and look for possible defects that the Operator did not notice or failed to report.
Deflators, or Price Reductors, are how we combine the condition of the product with its final price. Each Bidder (buyer) on the platform can define how much each deflator will affect the final purchase price of the device. This way, Bidders (buyers) have more control over the devices they are purchasing.
The pricing of devices is made up of three main elements: Base Price, Deflators and Minimum Price.
Base Price
The Base Price is the amount that the Bidder (buyer) is willing to pay for a device, if it does not present any defects.
Price Reductors
A deflator identifies a specific defect in the device. Each deflator has a value, which can be in percentage or nominal value, associated with it, which is subtracted from the Base Price if the respective defect is identified.
Minimum Price
The Minimum Price is the minimum amount that the Bidder (buyer) is willing to pay for a device. This value exists to prevent devices with the most defects from losing all their exchange value.
The composition of the Base Price with deflators generates the final price, guaranteeing a final value that reflects the exact condition of the device.
Bidders (buyers) compete to offer the best purchase price for each model. After the price composition is defined (Base Price + Reductors), the Bidder offering the highest value wins the dispute and has its offer presented to the customer.
